Isuzu is a commercial vehicle manufacturer that manufactures and sells trucks and buses. From vehicle introduction to after-sales service, we maintain vehicle operation throughout the lifecycle, contributing to the sustainable development of local communities and society. The Elf, part of our product lineup, is a representative Japanese light truck that was launched in 1959. Thanks to the continuous introduction of the latest technology, it is a top brand that has earned a high reputation for economy, safety, durability and reliability.
Based in Thailand, we manufacture and sell overseas-produced vehicles, including the 1-ton pickup truck "D-MAX" and the PPV (Pick-up Passenger Vehicle) "MU-X," which are used in various countries around the world. The "D-MAX" is particularly popular in Thailand for its beautiful styling and power. Thailand is also used as a production and export base for this pickup. The "MU-X" was developed based on the D-MAX for the PPV category, and further enhances handling, comfort, and safety to meet the needs of customers around the world.
In order to deliver cutting-edge environmental and economical performance to all customers, we are constantly working to improve ease of use and "real-world fuel economy" for our powertrains by gaining a detailed understanding of actual usage conditions.
As a leading company in the field of diesel engines, we will continue to lead the global diesel engine market by pursuing even greater efficiency and cleaner engines.
In addition to developing EVs, we are also focusing on natural gas, including CNG and LNG, and are pursuing even more efficient and clean diesel engines.
Isuzu has focused its efforts on providing software-based support for commercial vehicles. A prime example of this is MIMAMORI, their telematics system for commercial vehicles. It reads data from the vehicle's control computer and connects it via information and communication to support operation management and fleet management. In addition to helping to establish fuel-efficient and safe driving, it also greatly contributes to the efficiency of operation management by incorporating features such as message sending, driver log functions, and Japan's first internet-based digital tachograph function.
Furthermore, by equipping vehicles with MIMAMORI, which integrates vehicle condition information and eco-driving information, we are expanding our advanced genuine maintenance service "PREISM" which utilizes this vehicle data. By "connecting" the vehicles in operation, the fleet managers, and Isuzu, we are achieving even greater peace of mind during operation.
This system can be described as an innovation that will change the way commercial vehicles are supported.
