Manufacturing Division /
PT Manufacturing Department 4 MH
I belong to Powertrain Product Planning & Engineering Dept. No.3 of the Industrial Solutions & Powertrain Business Division (PT = Powertrain). My work involves promoting the 4HK1/6HK1 engine project for medium and small trucks for emerging markets. Specifically, I play a central role in the project, leading various departments and coordinating with them regarding engine development and managing the schedule.
Unlike passenger cars, trucks are primarily used for work, so a high level of practicality is required. When I was looking at automobile manufacturers during my job search, I felt that Isuzu was a stable company because they were honestly addressing such needs, so I applied.
The Fujisawa Plant is the main base for design and development, and the best thing about it is that all the relevant departments, including PT and vehicle departments, are gathered in one place, so we can meet face to face and have constructive discussions. Whenever I'm in trouble, I'm always able to consult with them on an equal footing, regardless of my career or age, and I'm grateful for that. I think this is one of the attractions of Isuzu.
My job is to develop engines, which are the heart of vehicles sold around the world, mainly in emerging countries. I work every day with pride, and this is what makes my job rewarding.

My "I Do declaration" is to "always consider the market conditions in which the product will be used when conducting development work." This is because, although we often look at models and data during design and development, we are actually creating products that will be produced and used by customers in the market, and I believe we must never forget that.
To achieve "No. 1 in customer satisfaction," we aim to maximize cooperation with related departments and develop the best engines that meet the needs of customers around the world.
I often host meetings and act as a facilitator, and I feel that even when discussions get heated, each project member makes it a point to listen to the other person's opinion until the end before speaking. I believe this is because they build relationships of trust and respect each other on a daily basis, which leads to this behavior of listening to the other person's opinion before their own.
Since the ISUZU ID was made public, I feel that Isuzu is trying to change things through various actions such as department town hall meetings and Viva Engage (an internal social networking site). I also believe that the personnel system reforms will lead to changes in the work and awareness of each individual, but I would like to take the initiative to further spread the idea, and I would like to actively participate in these movements and events so that I can have a positive influence on those around me, even if only a little, starting with the younger employees.
Isuzu is currently undergoing a once-in-a-century transformation, rebuilding its corporate structure and striving for a complete rebirth. If you have an interest in various fields and Drive to Challenge, we encourage you to consider joining Isuzu.
