The unchanging charm is the people

Please tell me your job duties.

To enhance the competitiveness of the entire Isuzu Group, I work in the Human Resources Planning Department, where I plan Talent Management initiatives that enable each employee to grow and maximize their expertise and abilities. Specifically, I am responsible for creating a system for talent development and implementing an evaluation system.

What do you like about Isuzu? What are its charms?

The appeal of Isuzu can be summed up in one word: "people." This hasn't changed since my job interview before joining the company. I feel that there are many very caring people here. When I was having trouble at work, the people around me supported me on many occasions. As a professional, I sometimes receive harsh criticism, but this is only natural when working professionally. There are limits to what I can do on my own, so I consult with people in related departments and people with outside knowledge, and I have been able to get my work done while receiving a lot of advice.

When do you feel a sense of accomplishment or fulfillment in your work? What is interesting about your current job?

I am also involved in promoting personnel system reforms aimed at realizing ISUZU ID's mission of becoming the No. 1 workplace for job satisfaction, and I find it extremely rewarding to be able to directly contribute to one of the projects in which Isuzu is undergoing major transformation.

I was also stationed in Indonesia for about four years 10 years ago to help launch a new factory. I was entrusted with HR work without a predecessor or a direct HR supervisor, and I contributed to the launch of the new factory. I was thrilled when the new factory began operations. I also had more opportunities to see Isuzu trucks on the streets of Indonesia, which gave me a great sense of accomplishment.

Please tell us how you feel Isuzu has changed recently and what you yourself are trying to change.

I've had few opportunities to learn outside of Japan, so I decided to take on the challenge of studying at graduate school. Commuting to school while working at a company was tough at times, but I'm truly grateful for the understanding and support of the people at my company. After graduating, I plan to shift the time I've spent studying to spending time with my family and taking on new challenges.

Tell us your "I Do" statement*.

My "I Do declaration" is to "study for the same amount of time as my children study at home." I want to keep updating myself as much as possible to keep up with the changes in the world, but I tend to neglect my own learning time. So, I set this goal to intentionally make time for it. I also want my children to experience the joy and accumulation of continuously learning new things, no matter how small.

What actions will you take to achieve the four ISUZU ID No. 1s?

To achieve our goal of becoming "No. 1 in employee satisfaction," we will implement Talent Management strategies as part of our HR responsibilities.

I believe it is crucial to create an environment where each employee can find fulfillment and experience personal growth. To that end, as Talent Management planning manager, I will implement measures and systems within the company to help each employee grow and demonstrate their expertise and abilities.

As a result, I believe Isuzu will become a company where customers want to work with people from Isuzu, and where students and people working at other companies want to work.

Regarding ISUZZ ID's core value of "Drive to Contribute," what kind of contributions are you currently making?

It's about sharing my experiences with the team. I bring my learning experiences from outside the company and the personal networks I've developed from those experiences into the company, leading to growth as a team. Up until now, I've taught my team members what I learned outside the company as knowledge, thought about my career based on my experiences, and held study sessions with people from outside the company. It may be a small thing, but I will continue to do so, and I hope to grow from these actions myself.

What kind of person would you recommend Isuzu to?

I believe there are opportunities for people who want to continue taking on challenges to achieve Isuzu's purpose of "creating transportation for the world."
