Participation in External Initiatives

The United Nations Global Compact is a worldwide framework for companies and organizations to act as good corporate citizens and achieve sustainable growth by exercising responsible and creative leadership. Companies and organizations that sign the UN Global Compact are required to support and implement the Ten Principles in the four areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Isuzu is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and a member of the Global Compact Network Japan, the local network in Japan.

The TCFD is a task force established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB), and it encourages companies to disclose information on climate-related risks and opportunities. In Japan, the TCFD Consortium, made up of companies and financial institutions that support the TCFD recommendations, was reorganized into the GX Future Consortium in April 2026, and now carries out activities aimed at advancing climate-related information disclosure and promoting GX (Green Transformation). Isuzu endorsed the TCFD recommendations in April 2021 and continues to disclose climate-related information in line with them, while also participating in the GX Future Consortium. In addition, the GX Future League is a framework in which the public and private sectors work together toward achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, developing rules related to demand creation and financing for GX, and promoting companies' practical efforts to reduce emissions across their supply chains and generate demand for GX. Building on its participation in the GX League, Isuzu has taken part in the GX Future League since 2026 and will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society through enhanced climate-related information disclosure and the promotion of GX.

Tokyo Zero-emission Innovation Bay is an organization that aims to make the Tokyo Bay area the world's first zero-emission innovation area. Based on the Environment Innovation Strategy (decided by the Cabinet Office's Integrated Innovation Strategy Promotion Council on January 21, 2020), the organization plans and promotes research and development, demonstration, and other projects by industry, academia, and government stakeholders in the Tokyo Bay area. Isuzu participates in this council and is advancing studies of activities aimed at achieving zero emissions.

Keidanren Initiative for Biodiversity Conservation consists of companies and organizations that work on the items making up the Keidanren Declaration of Biodiversity and Action Guidelines (revised version), formulated by Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) and the Keidanren Committee on Nature Conservation, or that agree with the overall intent. Isuzu endorses the initiative and publishes its action policy and examples of its initiatives.

Japan Platform for Migrant Workers towards Responsible and Inclusive Society (JP-MIRAI) is a platform established through collaboration among diverse stakeholders—including private companies, local governments, support organizations, academics, and lawyers—with the aim of protecting the rights of foreign workers and building an appropriate environment for receiving them. As a member company of this platform, Isuzu participates in its corporate collaboration program, advancing efforts to address human rights issues related to foreign workers and to build a responsible supply chain.
